
In April 2006, Ivette opened the doors to Yo Soy I Am, LLC, a Cultural Consulting and Training company designed to help companies create greater cultural awareness and develop cultural competencies in their employees. Yo Soy Iam, LLC wants to influence and create results that promote a greater knowledge and acceptance of cultures and respect for diversity. The goal is to help everyone understand different cultural mindsets when approaching customers of different nationalities, helping work groups understand how to effectively work through cultural issues and help business owners understand that creating a marketing campaign is not enough to attract today’s “multicultural community” to their businesses. Through informational seminars and customized training Yo Soy I Am, LLC closes the gap and helps companies achieve a competitive edge.
Ivette spent most of her career with a major global airline in marketing, sales, public relations and training. She worked successfully with sales and marketing to integrate culture and language as key components to their successful launch into the Latin American market place. Ivette’s has 15 years of business experiences in branding and marketing products and services has paved the way to create results. She was instrumental in developing customized training, cultural awareness and effective sales applications. Her knowledge of the international customers lends to her many successes on a global level. Her bicultural experiences add to her ability to recognize challenges in the workplace and marketplace. Ivette’s goal is to help clients’ bridge cultural differences and discover strategies through practical applications that directly effect results and performance.
Ivette has an extensive travel background and has conducted training throughout the United States, Asia, Europe, Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean. In addition, Ivette has experience senior level management and worked with several Fortune 500 companies. She has obtained numerous sales and leadership certifications with prominent training companies. Ivette has become a contributing writer for three local Tampa Bay publications offering advice on cultural business practices and professional development.
Ivette is an every active board member of the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce and part of the Leadership Brandon 2007 class. She has also been instrumental in coordinating the first- ever International Business Summit 2007. For 2008, was elected President of the International Business Summit. Ivette is a board member of the Hispanic Women Professional Association of Tampa Bay. Ivette was recently acknowledged for her efforts in the community and was a finalist for “Woman of the Year – 2007” by the Tampa Bay Business Journal in Tampa, Florida.
Ivette is also a sought after Speaker and is often called upon to share a dynamic and energetic message at a conferences, meetings, job fairs and multicultural event.
Ivette attended San Diego State University, where she pursued a degree in Communication. Ivette is married and has two wonderful daughters.
